Do You Really Need a Different Resume for Each Job?Posted by Administrator
You’ve probably heard that employers expect to see an exact
match to their skills on your resume, and that you should be
tailoring your resume to each job. But, you might think—if I
do that, I'll be writing forever!
Of course, there’s a point to customizing your resume to
meet the needs of employers. A resume in today’s competitive
market must deliver a clear message in order to be
effective. However, this doesn't mean that every resume you
send must be a completely different version.

Myth: Potential applicants only care about job requirements.Posted by Administrator
Busted: While listing the requirements of your open
position is important (and essential in some cases),
employers should also consider adding something a bit extra
to peak a job seekers interest.
For example, just entering a few key words like 'Fun
Atmosphere', 'Flexible Hours', or even 'Competitive Pay'
will create interest and draw more activity.
Another way to help draw qualified candidates is to clearly
differentiate ALL the requirements that qualify a candidate
for the job. When listing requirements, please differentiate
between required aspects and desirable aspects. This will
help you get excellent candidates that may not be perfect matches.
